| dc.description.resumen | Le but de cet article est d’analyser les techniques de traduction utilisées par Netflix dans le sous-titrage en espagnol du camp talk présenté au chapitre quatre de la sixième saison du programme « RuPaul’s Drag Race ». Cette analyse est effectuée à l’aide d’un tableau comparatif dans lequel on définit chaque mot de camp sélectionné, on présente sa traduction avec la technique utilisée, et on précise si l’utilisation de cette technique a été précise ou pas. En outre, on donne des propositions de traduction pour les termes en ayant une peu adéquate, à notre avis. Par la suite, on présente une réflexion sur les résultats obtenus et une conclusion soulignant le rôle de la langue pour construire des identités, en particulier celle de la communauté LGBT+, et proposant une solution pour récupérer l’argot gay de la langue anglaise dans les sous-titres en espagnol. / The purpose of this paper is to analyze the translation techniques used by Netflix in the Spanish subtitling of camp talk in the fourth episode of season six of the show “RuPaul’s Drag Race”. This analysis is given by means of a comparative table which defines each selected camp word, presenting the chosen translation and translation technique and whether or not the chosen technique was acceptable or not. In addition, possible solutions for words with incorrect or less-than-desirable translations are offered. Finally, the author presents the results of the analysis, and a conclusion highlighting the role of language in constructing identities, particularly that of the LGBT+ community, and offers a solution for recovering gay slang from English in Spanish subtitling. | |
